Macaroons

Classes last three hours and you’ll learn how to make macaroon shells as well as two different fillings. The shells are made from ground almonds, egg whites, icing sugar and a little food colouring. Our expert Pastry Chef lecturer  will guide you through the mixing process, describing any potential pitfalls and arming you with the expert knowledge needed to make perfect macaroons. You’ll also make four flavoured fillings – butter creams, ganaches, crème patissières and caramels are all covered. Specific fillings will vary from class to class but you can see this on line so that you can pick those that most appeal to you.

Once the macaroon shells have cooled, you’ll fill them, assemble them and then they’re ready to taste! You’ll have plenty left to take home and share too. We’ll email you your recipes and you’ll be armed with the knowledge to recreate them at home as well as the confidence to experiment with new flavours and fillings.
