We can also offer you special Urban Chefs apron, Available at just £20 per apron, they’re reusable and a great memento of your Urban Chef experience.
Classes and menus
Any of the below group classes are available for four hour parties or if you prefer something short and sharp and have a tight budget, one- to two-hour sessions are also available. You’ll get to eat everything you make (although whether that’s good or bad is up to you!). Remember, we tailor everything to your needs so get in touch and let us know what you want!

Artisan sausage making
Everyone loves home-made sausages! Spend 3 hours having some real fun making sausages. You will even get the chance to experiment with your own recipe
This is probably the most hands on (and potentially messy) of evenings, giving you an in depth knowledge of each stage of sausage making and getting your hands dirty in the process.
Our expert chefs will tell you what exactly goes into a good sausage, as well as a number of nifty cooking tips. You’ll prepare various meats to go into the mincer and the ingredients to flavour the sausages, before having a lot of fun handling the (often challenging) powerful sausage filler.
With explanations of the meat, the additives and how sausages are made, told of the ability to trace meat back to its origins from a local supplier, as knowing what is in sausages is important.
Some explanations about what the sausage casing was made of was also helpful, as they can make sausages that are gluten-free for coeliac sufferers.

MAKE YOUR OWN CHORIZO
Classes last for four hours and you’ll learn how to make macaroon shells as well as four different fillings. The shells are made from ground almonds, egg whites, icing sugar and a little food colouring. Our expert Pastry Chef lecturer will guide you through the mixing process, describing any potential pitfalls and arming you with the expert knowledge needed to make perfect macaroons. You’ll also make four flavoured fillings ganaches, crème patissières and caramels are all covered. Specific fillings will vary from class to class but you can see this on line so that you can pick those that most appeal to you.
Once the macaroon shells have cooled, you’ll fill them, assemble them and then they’re ready to taste! You’ll have plenty left to take home and share too. We’ll email you your recipes and you’ll be armed with the knowledge to recreate them at home as well as the confidence to experiment with new flavours and fillings.
Macaroons are one of the most popular sweet treats around at the moment. Their pretty colours and endless selection of fillings mean they not only look good but taste delicious too. The Urban Chefs have designed the class that will teach you how to make these delicate confections, achieving perfect results every time.
Bread making ‘bun in the oven’
Throughout this hands-on specialist course you will learn the importance of ingredients and explore the journey from flour to finished product, as you create a selection of breads, including three of the following:
- Chelsea buns
- Wholemeal Bread –
- Italian Bread
Or fun with bread – create your own bespoke flavours. Smoked bacon and onion, dill and lemon, smoked paprika or tapinard bread

Learn how to be the ‘hostess with the mostess’ and create a delicious platter of South-East Asian party food. These dishes contrast fragrant flavours like coconut and lemongrass with aromatic spices to mouthwatering effect. With these crowd-pleasing party snacks in your cooking repertoire you’re bound to impress even the most demanding of guests!
